How do I book a photography session?

Simply head over to the contact page and fill out the inquiry form. I typically respond within 24 hours, and often much sooner! CONTACT

Do you require a deposit? What is your cancellation policy?

A $200 non-refundable retainer is required to reserve your session date. If you need to cancel or reschedule, your retainer may be applied toward a future session within 3 months as long as notice is given outside of the 48-hour cancellation window. Cancellations made within 48 hours of your session will forfeit the retainer.

What photography packages do you offer?

I offer Full Sessions, Mini Sessions, All Inclusive Sessions, and unique custom packages and bundles depending on your needs. Whether you are looking for family photography, senior portraits, couples sessions, newborn photography, professional headshots, or proposal photography in Aspen, there are flexible options available. Where will my session take place?

Aspen and the surrounding Roaring Fork Valley offer endless beautiful locations for portrait photography. From mountain views and golden aspen groves to rivers, open fields, pine forests, downtown Aspen, and snowy landscapes, I have many favorite spots to recommend based on the season and style you’re looking for.

Do we receive the digital images? What about prints?

It depends on the session you choose. All Inclusive Sessions include all edited high-resolution digital images along with 20% off print products. A La Carte Sessions include a credit that can be used toward digital images, prints, wall art, albums, or a combination of products.

Mini Sessions include 3 digital images, while All Inclusive Mini Sessions include the full gallery. Additional images and print products are always available for purchase after viewing your gallery.

Can we shoot at multiple locations?

Yes — multiple locations are possible with extended or All Inclusive Sessions. Some locations naturally offer a wide variety of scenery within a short distance, giving the appearance of multiple locations without additional travel time.

When will we receive our photos?

Final galleries are delivered within approximately two weeks, though many sessions are completed sooner depending on the season. I know how exciting it is to see your images, so I always do my best to deliver them as quickly as possible while still giving each gallery the attention it deserves.

All Inclusive galleries are delivered through Google Drive for digital download. A La Carte Sessions are delivered through an online proofing gallery where you can select your favorite images and products to purchase.

What happens if the weather doesn’t cooperate?

Mountain weather in Aspen can change quickly, so I keep a close eye on conditions leading up to your session. Unless you need a very specific time, I like to allow some flexibility on questionable weather days.

Some of the most beautiful light and skies actually happen before or after storms, so don’t let a little weather worry you — it often creates incredible images!

What is the best time of day for photos?

The best timing depends on the season, weather, and location. Soft evening light near sunset is often ideal during summer, while overcast days allow for much more flexibility throughout the day.

For sessions with little ones, I always work around naps, bedtime, and family schedules whenever possible. Even in less-than-perfect lighting conditions, beautiful images are absolutely possible.

What should we wear for our session?

Coordinating colors, soft textures, layers, and neutral or earthy tones tend to photograph beautifully in Aspen’s natural mountain scenery. I recommend avoiding large logos, overly busy patterns, or outfits that are too “matchy.”

Think coordinated rather than identical. Barefoot can photograph beautifully in some settings, while classic boots, sandals, or simple shoes work best for outdoor mountain locations. Once booked, I’m always happy to help guide wardrobe choices.

Can you help plan a surprise proposal?

Absolutely! I love helping plan Aspen proposal photography sessions and finding beautiful locations that fit your vision. Whether you already have ideas or need help planning everything from start to finish, I’m happy to help create a proposal experience that feels personal, meaningful, and natural.

What if my child is having an off day?

No worries at all! Some of the sweetest and most genuine moments happen when kids are simply being themselves. I keep sessions relaxed, flexible, and playful, and even with shy or grumpy little ones, we still capture beautiful natural moments and authentic expressions.
